Different kinds of hair

As the hair business growing fast, there are different kinds of hair in the market. The hair quality is very important to the hair extensions and wigs. So it’s very important to know the hair quality and make choice.

Virgin hair

Virgin hair is natural human hair which is removed completely from a single donor’s head, Virgin hair is unprocessed hair, it’s a complete set of hair with the cuticles intact and all of the hair cuticles are on one side.

To qualify as virgin hair, it must meet rigorous standards including: not been permed, dyed, colored, bleached, and chemically processed in any way. This hair is very silky, smooth and has an excellent drop. Use your finger to feel the hair. If it is real cuticle virgin it will feel very smooth from the root to the tip, with little frictional feeling from tip to root.

This hair is not too soft or thin because it is not processed in an acid bath. It will feel like your own natural hair.

Remy hair

The remy hair is processed hair, collected from different donor’s head. remy hair will be very silky, smooth and very good drop. This hair should also follow the same direction, you can check the hair color, if it is remy hair, and the tip should be a little bit darker than the root.

This hair is a little softer and thinner than cuticle virgin hair because it is processed in an acid bath to remove the cuticles to avoid tangling.

Non remy hair

Non Remy Hair is the most popular and commonly available form of hair. Non Remy Hair is also referred as fallen hair. The roots and tips of hairs are all mixed up.

It has to be well processed in an acid bath and remove all the cuticles, so it will be tangle free. Non-Remy hair is not very silky and smooth when compared to the above remy hair.

The hair has not shed naturally; you will find black dots on the end of hair when you put the hair on a white background. The non remy hair will be frizzy, dry and broken easily after just a few times.
